Yes!! You read it write, the subject line of my latest post is actually "I AM AFRAID OF GIVING BIRTH TO MY CHILD". Although I claim to be a beauty blogger and I know that my blog is full of shiny shoes and beautiful cosmetics reviews, this time I thought of trying to be a little less "materialistic, the word that my "better half" uses quite often to describe me. For those who are thinking that may be I am having a bad time in bed or some thing like that and is going to share the dos or don'ts then "Alas", this time my post is not going to give you a "Sex and the City" flavour, so you can RIGHT NOW stop wasting your time and move on with your "unfulfilled urge". For those who are thinking right now that I am here today to discuss the side effects of Pregnancy, then again I am going to disappoint you guys also cause I am completely inexperienced, not yet ready, and I can only suggest you to watch the movie " What to expect when you are expecting"(Trust me, Cameron Diaz looked super hot in it, even if she was pregnant).
Now after the filtration, if I have still got readers to know what actually my post today is related to, then I can say that a little part of me is scared or may be over protective now, after the series of incidents that we are hearing or facing every now and then.
I love children, and I remember some one once told me that a child can change your opinion towards your life. I have seen my mother, working all day long just to fulfil my regular needs, just a little "oh what a food ma" used to make her delighted.I have seen many in office working hard, dealing with project deliveries even though they themselves have their deliveries due,may be in few months. That just make me astonished.May be God has made women extra strong to face all the hurdles in life and still manage to stay beautiful.Yes I want to be like them,I want to give birth to a life but can I kept it safe?
He/She,I dont believe in discriminations neither do I or the man of my life are biased with this.I know this will be the second most important decision of our life and I belive we are mature and educated enough to deal with it.BUT, sometimes a thought makes me shiver, how will my dearest little one face the "ugly" part of our society???? How will I keep him/her protected and give atleast a happy childhood.
Living in this era, will my baby be safe at home even??Calling a private tutor at home when I am at office can turn out to be risky, the nightmare of my little one getting bitten up will constantly come and haunt me. They can go to international schools, but will their way to school be safe enough, what if the bus driver turns to be an irresponsible one and leaves the school bus on the railway track. The thought of this makes my heart skip a beat. I can give him/her a mobile phone but he/she have to have a security app installed in it to protect themselves from goons. My child will not be safe in school and college, they will not be able to travel in public tranport without hassles. If it turns out to be a girl, then travelling in bus, train, metro will be like a horror dream for her.She had to face the harassments which not only me but my mom has also faced. It is not that my boy will be safe and sound as we live in a male dominated society. What if all of a sudden he raises his voice against a crime happening in front of him??? no one will spare my innocent child. How can I make my little ones suffer so much.Well I could not marry a President or a king, I live an average "IT" family life and will be able to give my children a decent life, but the most unfortunate part is I cant even give them the basics, pollution free air, pure water, pure food and safety.
I know india's population is 100 crore and still counting but are we giving our children the life that they actually deserve. One day they are going to blame me for this.We are bringing them to suffer and face the harsh reality even if they are not ready.
